My vision of the universe and our role of understanding it
icub
Wherever I look, whether to skies or to microscopic world I see the same things, same patterns, similarities. Then I dive even deeper and look into a quantum world where everything exists as a mere probability, nothing is certain, nothing is solid, one thing exists at multiple places at once, speed of light is no longer a limit when particles communicating instantaneously, act of observation makes these random particles appear at certain place, when nobody is looking their existence is a probability.

In great hope to understand who we are, where we come from, what is this reality, what is our role here we turn to religions, science and some of us do not ask these questions at all for many different reasons. We may think someone else will answer this, or that it is not important, or we might feel strange if we ask these questions being afraid that someone will ridicule us.

We built the powerful Hubble telescope and saw billions of years to past where the universe was forming, expanding from initial infinitely small peanut containing everything even space itself. Everything in this modest peanut was entangled and bind together. Here we are now, on Earth and thinking about this. We may ask what was before this birth called big bang and find that time does not exist, past is merely a memory, future a probability and that only here and now exists. Since the old times this singular existence expanded and created all this glory of which we can only perceive and measure 4%, the rest is unexplained dark matter and energy. With a tiniest fraction of this 4% understanding we often laugh at people who can see fainter energies that our technology cannot yet measure. These people will often feel like they do not belong here, they do not find many people to talk about these fundamental issues and the whole thing kind of fades away to the background. Instead our minds are fed with fears, distractions like sex, alcohol, TV, facebook, global warming, financial crisis, swine flu, celebrities, fashion. All this seem to be covering our true face from ever discovering who we really are as beings. We are all humans, distinctions are just constructs. There is nobody greater or smaller than me and my ego is created thanks to 2% of the DNA that holds the genetic information. Remaining 98% is unknown and has been regarded as junk. Everything in the universe is so perfected yet we say 98% of us is nothing more than junk? Recently this major part of DNA was shown to be literally a transmitter/receiver of electromagnetic waves. I wonder what we are tuning to then? Is it the sound of the universe, is it the dark energy which has been known to ancient cultures as prana, chi, living energy etc for thousands of years?

I sometimes wonder what if we already have all the tools to understand this. What if the entire universe is product of our imagination? What is real if nothing has real existence? Is it still so hard to think about it? We have been trained what to think but not how to think. I feel that true understanding comes when you step over your ego, throw your old mental constructs away when they no longer of any use and make new based on broader information. It is very easy to say I am atheist or I am christian but harder to make a greater leap that goes far beyond these childish roles we like to play. A leap where you appreciate both science and spirituality because spirituality might simply mean the 98% of the unknown universe. And now suddenly spirituality is here and I am not feared to talk about it because I feel we need to make next step in our evolution which is to stop making these distinctions and finally unify the two. There are not separate, it is just one thing we are trying to find so lets open eyes to broaden our perception of reality. Like good and bad, plus and minus, alpha and omega, positive and negative, all these are making our reality and to understand them we need to see both. There is no one without the other. I see the science with a similar relationship now with things we cannot yet scientifically explain but many people can experience them via their own subjective apparatus called the mind. These include things that me and countless others including my closest friends experienced such as out of body experience, seeing auras and other energies, non-language conveyance of information etc. We have been trained to laugh at this but it only shows our ignorance and nothing more. A real scientist to me is a person that can see his own box that was created by him with help of parents, society, religions, scientific dogmas and education and seeks a way to go beyond that. Scientists I admire like Einstein or Tesla are good examples but there are countless others. And I see more of them coming every day, like there was a global awakening to something going on. More and more scientists including myself are realising that true science must be the unification of everything we know, use both hemispheres, use both logic and intuition, both left and right and not just one. We can go forever doing this but as long as we ignore any aspect of existence and particularly our own subjective experience we shall find nothing but the subset of the whole.

If there is any purpose of my life l am hoping to make people think about unthinkable, to encourage others to question their own beliefs, to help other people grow as persons towards better understanding. peace
